IFX FORUM OFFERS SUBSCRIPTIONS TO IFX BUSINESS MESSAGE SPECIFICATION

XSD Generation Facility Included; IFX 2.0 to Launch Monday, November 17

WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Nov. 12, 2008 –The Interactive Financial eXchange (IFX; http://www.ifxforum.org) Forum is now offering annual subscriptions to its IFX Business Message Specification database application, which had previously been available only to Forum members.

The IFX Forum is an international not-for-profit industry association whose mission is to develop IFX and promote its adoption as an open, interoperable standard for financial data exchange.

A subscription includes access to the contents of both Version 1.8 and the new Version 2.0, which will be introduced during a special public event in Orlando, Florida, USA, on Monday, November 17.  The IFX BMS application includes an XSD generation facility, an important tool for developers.  Annual subscriptions are priced at $1,995 for up to three named users, and $2,995 for a domain-wide license.  Renewals after the first year will be discounted $1,000 from the original license cost.  License agreement and subscription form are available for download from http://www.ifxforum.org/standards/ifx_subscriptions/.

"We are offering subscriptions to the IFX BMS application in order to significantly reduce the effort of developing IFX solutions," said IFX Forum President Richard P. Urban.  "The subscription option provides a way to further adoption while continuing to respect the benefits of full membership.

“The productivity gains afforded to developers are dramatic," he said.  "At the push of a button the application generates XML schemas that are 100% consistent with the IFX standard.  The productivity gains for developers and quality assurance improvements will result in savings that can recover the cost of the annual subscription within weeks.”

The November 17 event, which also includes the Forum's 10th Anniversary celebration, immediately precedes the BAI Retail Delivery Conference & Expo (http://www.bai.org/retaildelivery/) at the nearby Orange County Convention Center.  There is no charge for the IFX Forum events, but advance registration is necessary to secure a place: follow the automated registration link at http://www.ifxforum.org

Tuesday through Thursday, November 18-20, the Forum will host a quarterly working meeting, where all active Working Groups – including the new Card Management & Servicing group -- and the Architecture Committee will stage hands-on face-to-face sessions.  Prospective members are invited to attend, in order to "test-drive" the Forum before joining – for this special occasion, meeting fees have been waived.  Registration is required, from the link at http://www.ifxforum.org.
