The IFX Forum’s 2017 Annual Meeting took place May 1-3 in Orlando, Florida, USA, hosted by Oracle.  All the details are on the registration site.

A highlight of the meeting was intensive working sessions of the new Open Banking APIs Working Group — this initiative is one of the most significant efforts the IFX Forum has undertaken in recent years. Here’s our agenda.

The IFX specification is SOA- and message-based, making it an ideal starting point for Open Banking APIs.  The IFX Architecture Committee has laid the groundwork to establish guidelines for adapting IFX to the micro-service orientation for APIs, including prototyping JSON/REST representations of the IFX data elements and messaging. The API Working Group has hit the ground running, establishing best practices and developing real-world implementations based on participant priorities.  Be sure you’re not left behind — join the IFX Forum and make your voice heard.

Other features of the meeting included a special “Introduction to IFX” for new and prospective members, and a reception hosted by the IFX Forum where attendees could socialize.  Elections for the Board and Officers were also held.
