ACI and NCR Partner to Provide Advanced ATM Solutions

Includes joint commitment to develop APTRA Edge and BASE24 solutions based on IFX

Omaha, Neb. and Dayton, Ohio, February 24, 2003 -- ACI Worldwide (Nasdaq: TSAI), a leading international provider of enterprise e-payment solutions, and NCR Corporation today announced an exclusive referral partnership that includes plans to jointly develop and market advanced ATM software solutions. The resulting end-to-end solutions will allow financial institutions to unlock the power of next-generation ATMs, enabling more personalized, intelligent processing of a broader set of services to improve interaction with customers and enhance the consumer experience.

Under terms of the multi-year exclusive referral partnership, ACI will recommend NCR's open architecture APTRA™ Edge software to users of its BASE24® online transaction processing system. In addition, the two companies will work closely to extend APTRA Edge and BASE24 to support the recently ratified IFX standard for ATM transaction processing.

The new standard, established by the IFX Forum, enables ATM and point-of-sale deployers to use a common messaging platform across all delivery channels, offering lower cost and faster time to market for new banking services.

In an effort to move the IFX standard forward, ACI first announced development initiatives with NCR in June 2002. Under the new agreement, the two companies will work closely together to bring an end-to-end IFX solution to market.

Jim Piggot, NCR's general manager and vice president for software and services, said, "Combining the power of NCR and ACI to deliver market-leading self-service solutions is a significant event. ACI's market leadership and new transaction authorization solutions will clearly add value to what our customers can do with APTRA Edge. Leveraging the new IFX standards, we will give our customers a state-of-the-art platform on which to quickly bring new services to market, leverage the information locked in their legacy systems, and dramatically improve the customer experience at new-generation ATMs. Our customers tell us that they want to leverage their massive investment in the ATM channel; this partnership is a key step in addressing that need. We welcome the opportunity to expand APTRA's foothold in the industry through this partnership."

Mark Vipond, president of ACI, said, "The NCR partnership is a key element of ACI's strategy to support the upcoming wave of ATM renewal. As banks update their ATMs to embrace newer operating environments, it's a logical time to enhance their core transaction processing systems. Banks can leverage ACI software to ensure transaction integrity and service availability, which become even more important in a distributed processing environment where the failure of any one component can compromise the ability to process transactions. ACI software also allows banks to personalize ATM service and enhance authorization processing, support the latest in self-service features, and implement automated key distribution to cost-efficiently adopt best practices in ATM security."

Vipond continued, "We partnered with NCR to leverage the power of a global leader with a market-ready solution that supports our open strategy. NCR's market-leading APTRA Edge raises the bar in terms of a feature-rich, open architecture solution at the ATM. The combination of APTRA Edge and our newest transaction authorization capabilities will give our customers the platform they need to significantly enhance the customer experience at ATMs, and better leverage one of the most widely accepted banking channels."
