IFX FORUM ANNUAL MEETING SET FOR APRIL 25-29 IN TORONTO; PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS INVITED

Vote to Approve IFX Version 1.7 Expected

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – March 14, 2005 – The Interactive Financial eXchange (IFX) Forum has scheduled its 2005 Annual Members Meeting in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, April 25-29. In addition to the day-long face-to-face sessions for the organization’s five Working Groups that are at the core of all the Forum’s quarterly meetings, the Annual Meeting includes the election of officers and the Board of Directors.

The IFX Forum, whose members are leaders in the financial services industry, is a not-for-profit standards-developing organization working to develop a robust framework for the electronic business-to-business exchange of data among financial service institutions around the world.

A vote to adopt Version 1.7 of the IFX specification will also be on the agenda in Toronto. This new version, currently undergoing member review, incorporates the first deliverables from the Branch Banking Services Working Group, which modify existing IFX messages/message flows so as to support branch banking and call center transaction sets and functionality, and add new messages that enable new functionality. IFX Version 1.7 is expected to be posted for public comment on March 29.

"We have made steady progress toward our goals since our last Annual Meeting, and we will acknowledge our members’ hard work when we are together in Toronto," said Richard Urban, President of the IFX Forum. "It is impressive to note that the Branch Banking Services Working Group has been in existence for only six months, and now its first contributions are ready to benefit the world’s IFX users in Version 1.7."

The Annual Meeting will take place at the Courtyard by Marriott at 475 Yonge Street in downtown Toronto. Prospective members are invited to attend the Annual Meeting at no charge, to become familiar with the group's activities before formally joining. Advance meeting registration is required, with a deadline of April 18; go to www.ifxforum.org for details, or write to info@disa.org
