PROGRAM DETAILS SET FOR IFX 2.0 LAUNCH IN ORLANDO, NOVEMBER 17

Event Open to All and Meeting Fees Waived; Hotel Block Expires Tuesday, Oct. 21

WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Oct. 20, 2008 – The program is now final for the Interactive Financial eXchange (IFX; http://www.ifxforum.org) Forum roll-out of the second generation of its time-tested IFX Business Message Specification, Version 2.0.  The special public event takes place at the Doubletree Castle Hotel (http://www.doubletreecastle.com) in Orlando, Florida, USA, on Monday, November 17.

Additionally, the IFX Forum has waived all meeting fees for non-member attendance at the Forum's quarterly working meeting that follows the Monday event, so that as many interested people as possible can have a hands-on introduction to the Forum's activities.

The IFX Forum is an international not-for-profit industry association whose mission is to develop IFX and promote its adoption as an open, interoperable standard for financial data exchange.

November 17 agenda highlights include:

"Given the turbulent conditions facing today’s financial services industry, we believe that the stability and consistency that established, well-managed standards provide are more important than ever," said IFX Forum President Richard P. Urban.  "Our November 17th event offers a broad look at the landscape of financial services standards, from the launch of IFX Version 2 to insiders' views on how standards are being deployed."

The Version 2.0 introduction and 10th Anniversary celebration immediately precedes the BAI Retail Delivery Conference & Expo (http://www.bai.org/retaildelivery/) at the nearby Orange County Convention Center, for the convenience of industry participants who will be attending that event.  There is no charge for the IFX Forum November 17 events, but advance registration is necessary to secure a place: follow the automated registration link at http://www.ifxforum.org

Tuesday through Thursday, November 18-20, the Forum will host a quarterly working meeting, where all active Working Groups – including the new Card Management & Servicing group -- and the Architecture Committee will hold hands-on face-to-face sessions.  Prospective members are invited to attend, in order to "test-drive" the Forum before joining – for this special occasion, meeting fees have been waived.  Registration is required, from the link at http://www.ifxforum.org.  Registered attendees will be able to take advantage of special hotel room rates (expiring October 21), as well as complimentary admission to the Forum's 10th anniversary reception.
