The IFX Forum is an international not-for-profit industry association whose mission is to develop IFX and promote its adoption as an open, interoperable standard for financial data exchange. The group's 2010 Annual Meeting took place in Irving, Texas, hosted by CSC.
The IFX Forum gathering was also distinguished by a well-attended three-hour "Introduction to IFX" tutorial session presented by Mr. Urban on the event's first day, which focused on the new features of IFX Version 2. Videos of the session will later be posted on the Forum' website, and the presentation itself may be downloaded from a link on the home page, www.ifxforum.org .
As is customary for an IFX Forum face-to-face meeting, the Texas event featured intense hands-on collaborative sessions for the Forum's active Working Groups: ATM-POS, Branch Banking Services, Business Banking and Card Management & Servicing. Additional days were devoted to IFX architectural considerations. The Forum's Steering Committee also met to discuss and advance the group's business plans, including extended discussion with representatives from BIAN (Banking Industry Architecture Network) about how best to collaborate going forward, considering the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding between IFX and BIAN.
