WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Dec. 15, 2016 – The IFX Forum Board of Directors has named two new officers and two new Directors, as a result of retirements among its members. The new Chair is Anita Brady of Oracle. She replaces Richard DuVall of ACI Worldwide, Inc., longtime Director and Chair who retired this year. The new Secretary is Murray Heldon of Tata Consultancy Services, replacing Mark Tiggas of Wells Fargo Bank, another long-serving Director and officer who has retired.

The IFX Forum is an international non-profit industry association whose mission is to develop and promote the adoption of its open, interoperable standard for financial data exchange, IFX, which is available for evaluation at no charge at http://bms.ifxforum.org/.The officer elections were held at the Forum’s Fall 2016 Face-to-face Meeting, which took place October 24-26 in Richfield, Minnesota, hosted by member U.S. Bank. The meeting focused on the launch of the Forum’s new Standardized Banking APIs initiative.

In separate actions, the Board also confirmed Frédérique Slevin of ACI Worldwide and Mark A. Schaffer of Wells Fargo to fill the Director seats being vacated by the two retirements.

“I’m honored to have been selected to chair the IFX Forum, at a time when the organization seeks to address industry demand for standardization of Open APIs based on JSON/Rest. In collaboration with our members, we expect to accelerate delivery through Agile practices. It’s an exciting time to be working with IFX as the organization drives significant benefits to the financial services industry,” said Brady.

In addition to developing the IFX specification, the Forum actively engages in international standards activity, including longtime liaison efforts with ISO and contributions to ISO 20022, a leadership role in the Remittance Coalition set up by the U.S. Federal Reserve, and Memoranda of Understanding with ASC X9, BIAN and EPASOrg/nexo. The Forum will launch its initiative to develop standardized banking APIs in the first part of 2017.

The Forum welcomes additional members to join in all its activities. More information can be found at http://www.ifxforum.org/join/. The Forum also hosts a free IFX Discussion Forum, where knowledgeable Forum members and other subject matter experts will answer IFX-related questions from the public.
