The October 2011 Meeting of the IFX Forum will take place October 3-5 in Redmond, Washington, USA, generously hosted by Microsoft Corporation. Representatives of member organizations will convene to work on and plan the future of the IFX specification and the Forum. The Forum's quarterly meetings are an important platform for the Working Groups' efforts, in addition to the teleconferences that move the work along in between.
This event includes a face-to-face gathering of the new Liaison & Interoperability Working Group, formed earlier this year. All the active Working Groups will have hands-on working sessions, and there will be extensive Architecture Committee discussions on Wednesday for all attendees. The Steering Committee will meet to cover business topics. At the Members' Meeting, a brief update on the state of the organization will be presented. Ample time for networking will be provided.
Non-members, as always, are cordially invited to attend the meeting to "test drive" Forum activities before joining, for a fee of $695 per person, which can be applied toward the first year's dues. Or, non-members can join the Forum in advance of the meeting and send any number of representatives at no charge. For more information, send an email message to info@ifxforum.org.
